Tulip tornado and hyacinth breeze

With the appearance of snowdrops, tulips and daffodils, the approaching spring becomes visible. To introduce the children to the fascinating world of early bloomers, they studied these plants intensively in class. They got to know different species and learned why flowers such as hyacinths and crocuses belong to the group of bulbous flowers.

Early bloomers not only offer a colorful view of the warm season, but are also an excellent way to teach scientific topics in a vivid way. Through worksheets and practical tasks in class, the children realized that many flowers bloom just a few weeks after winter, attracting important pollinators.

In order to combine theoretical knowledge with practical experience, a planting campaign took place in the schoolyard. The children were not only able to see the plants in pictures, but were also able to plant them themselves and follow their growth. This activity not only brought color to the schoolyard, but also promoted awareness of nature and its interrelationships.
