Carnival

Great carnival fun for Buterland revellers

Once again this year, the Buterland School celebrated carnival in style. For the first time, the festivities took place in the container facility, but that didn't dampen the mood - everyone was ready for an exuberant celebration. The first two hours were all about having fun. Classics such as a fashion show, "musical chairs" and stop dancing ensured enthusiasm in the classes. The fourth year celebrated together in the music room and enjoyed the special atmosphere there. A large buffet was set up in each class for refreshments. From fresh fruit and vegetables to sweet treats, there was something for everyone.

A special highlight of the day was the big polonaise that kicked off the break. At 9:15 a.m. on the dot, carnival music played from all the loudspeakers and soon the whole school was dancing together in the schoolyard. The atmosphere was exuberant and the party lasted the entire break.

There was also plenty of partying in the gym. In the third hour, the first and second years came together to enjoy party music and movement games. This was followed in the fourth hour by the third and fourth years, who had a joyful time with a mixture of polonaise and group dances.

The crowning glory of the day was a group photo of the entire college. There was a special theme this year: Disney characters. Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Ariel the Mermaid and the Ice Queen celebrated the Old Wives' Carnival together with the children.

The staff of the Buterland School wishes everyone a happy Fastelovend time and a nice long weekend!
