On Friday, 30.01.2026, Mrs. Fortmann had her last day of work at the Buterland School. Her employment at the school began on February 1, 2024 as part of a two-year secondment.
At the beginning, Ms. Fortmann took over the then class 4c, the penguin class, from Mr. Mollenhauer. The pupils and Ms. Fortmann quickly bonded and enjoyed teaching the class with great enthusiasm and commitment. During this time, the class took part in numerous school events and projects, including themed days on sustainability, the sports festival, reading days, school cinema weeks, carnival celebrations, Christmas crafts and joint Advent carol singing.
In addition to her work as a class teacher, Ms. Fortmann was also temporarily active as a trainer for mediators at the Buterland School and thus actively supported social interaction in everyday school life.
In the 2024/2025 school year, Ms. Fortmann enrolled the hedgehog class and took over as class leader until her last day at work. She also shared many experiences with this class, including apple juice pressing, which the children will remember for a long time to come.
After two years, her time at the Buterland School has now come to an end. Ms. Fortmann will continue her pedagogical work at a school in Lower Saxony, where a new class is already waiting for her.
The staff of the Buterland School would like to thank Ms. Fortmann for the great passion and effort she has put into her work and wish her all the best and every success in her future career.
