On the Friday before Rose Monday, the annual carnival celebration took place at Buterland School. Even in the morning, there was a cheerful and colorful atmosphere throughout the school. The children appeared in a wide variety of costumes, from classic disguises to imaginative creations of their own.
The staff also ensured a good mood and appeared together in a themed costume with the theme "su möd wie hück..." (translated: As tired as today...). Fittingly, the entire team appeared in pyjamas, which brought smiles to the children's faces.
The atmosphere really got going in the first hour. Years 1 and 2 took part in a dance event in the sports hall to kick off the celebrations. The older pupils in Years 3 and 4 then also enjoyed a dance and hands-on activity in the sports hall in the second lesson.
During the big break, musical accompaniment created an exuberant atmosphere in the schoolyard. Afterwards, the party continued in the classes. In the third and fourth periods, a buffet awaited the children in their respective classes, which was complemented by various games and activities.
At the end of the school day, everyone gathered again in the schoolyard, where the celebration culminated in music and dancing. The cheerful atmosphere was palpable everywhere.
The staff of the Buterland School wishes all children and families a happy Fastelovend time and a nice long weekend!
