From May 3-5, the fourth grades of the Buterland School went on their class trip to Bad Driburg. There, in the best weather, some knights were already waiting for them and welcomed them with a loud "Tandaradei!". The knights trained the children to become knights themselves during the two days and with their help they wanted to defeat the evil Gustav in order to win back the Iburg for Princess Larissa. On the first day, they carved their own bows and designed their own shields. In the evening, the budding knights strengthened themselves at the campfire with stick bread. On the second day, they practiced using various weapons. The children practiced shooting with a self-made bow and sword fighting. After refreshments, the children then set off for the Iburg. After exploring the landscape on a pre-tower of the Iburg, they continued. Once at the Iburg, the children shot at targets with crossbows and fought with clubs. However, to defeat the evil Gustav, the magic sword was still missing. After it was found, all the children had earned their knighthood with their own knight name. Since then, the Buterland School has had knights such as the Knights of the Still Waters, the Knights of the Helping Hands, the Knights of the Chattering Geese, the Knights of the Know-It-All, and the Knights of the Forget-Me-Nots.
The successful storming of the Iburg was celebrated in the evening with a disco evening in the youth hostel. This was also attended by a special guest, as Mrs. Marx did not miss the opportunity to visit her former class and congratulate them on their knighthood. Afterwards, the new knights proved their courage during a night hike under the full moon. The next morning, after breakfast, they unfortunately headed back home.
