The Buterland School is very pleased to be part of the nationwide emergency island network from April 2025.
With the well-known emergency island sticker on the front door, the school signals: "Where we are, you are safe!". Children who find themselves in an emergency situation - whether due to bullying, fear, disorientation or other difficult situations - will find a trustworthy point of contact here and receive help and support quickly.
As an emergency island, the Buterland School actively assumes responsibility for the protection and well-being of children - not only during lessons, but also in everyday life outside of school hours. It wants to set a visible example of civil courage and child-friendliness in the region and is happy to be a point of contact for all children in Gronau.
With its commitment, the Buterland School is strengthening the network of safe places in the city - and making Gronau a little more child-friendly.
