This is us

This is us

All employees at the Buterlandschule see themselves as a multi-professional team that complements each other and ensures that the school day runs as smoothly and pleasantly as possible.
Teachers, social pedagogues, our secretary, the janitor, as well as the staff of the Open All Day School (OGS) and the After School Care (ÜMI) work hand in hand.

In addition to the personal success of each child, we care deeply about the well-being of our students.

Currently, 292 students in 12 classes attend Buterland School.

Old building from right, lateral view

At present, our Buterland School consists of several buildings and the schoolyard.
The 3rd and 4th year classes (class 3a, 3b, 4a, 4b) are located in the old building. On the 1st floor, the secretary's office and the teachers' room are located at the ends of the corridors, as well as our computer room, a differentiation room and our materials room.

New construction from a parking lot perspective

In 2002 a new building was erected. Classes 1a, 1b, 2a and 2b are taught there. It also houses the music room and the recreation, work and play rooms of the two OGS groups, each with 25 children, as well as the rooms of the after-school care (ÜMI).

Container in the schoolyard

Due to the current development regarding the number of students, there are containers in the schoolyard. The reason for this is that since the school year 2021/2022 three classes are taught. This means that classes 1c, 2c, 3c and 4c will be taught there. Our large schoolyard, mainly lined with oaks, beeches and lime trees, accommodates many play opportunities for our children. These include:

Play area in the schoolyard, with swings and slide
  • the soccer field
  • Several climbing frames
  • the gymnastic bars
  • one round and one square table tennis table
  • Seating
  • Basketball hoops
  • Several swings
