My child is sick. What do I have to do?
If your child is sick, you must report it to us in time via Schoolfox, by phone at 02562/965012 or in person. Should your child fall ill directly before or after the vacations, we must request medical certificates. Should your child be diagnosed with one of the following diseases or louse infestation, he/she may not return to school until, according to medical judgment, a further spread of the disease is no longer to be feared, in accordance with the Infection Protection Act (IfSG § 34). Please inform your child's teacher immediately if such a case has occurred and also provide the relevant evidence.
The following diseases are covered by the Infection Protection Act:
- Cholera
- Diphtheria
- Enteritis due to enterohemorrhagic E. coli (EHEC)
- virus-induced hemorrhagic fever
- Haemophilus influenza type b meningitis
- Impetigo contagiosa (contagious bork lichen)
- Whooping cough
- infectious pulmonary tuberculosis
- Measles
- Meningococcal infection
- Mumps
- Paratyphoid
- Pest
- Poliomyelitis
- Scabies (Scabies)
- Scarlet fever or other Streptococcus pyogenes infections.
- Shigellosis
- Typhus abdominalis
- Viral hepatitis A or E
- Chickenpox
My child has lice. What do I have to do?
If you notice a lice infestation in your child, you must inform us immediately. In addition, your child may not return to school until he or she is lice and nit free. If we find lice on your child, we will call you immediately and send your child home. If you are not available, we will sit your child separately from the others for as long as it takes to prevent further spread. If lice appear, all children and the parents in the class and if necessary also in the OGS will be informed with the "lice note".
