This school year is slowly approaching the home stretch towards the summer vacations. That's why it was time once again for the new first graders to get to know the Buterland School building and, of course, their sponsors. The mentors will be a support for the newcomers in the coming school year.
After a short welcome from Ms. Hüning, the children were immediately offered a program. There was a rally through the school buildings and across the schoolyard. Various letters were hung in the most important places at Buterland School. The new first graders searched for them with their big companions. The treasure chest was waiting at the end of the search. It contained a little something for the children. Afterwards, the children were able to color and cut out small signs with their future class animals.
While the children of the third year explored the school with the upcoming first graders, the current first year spent time on the Schützenplatz with their big godparents. There was a big soccer match and a climbing competition.
The Buterland School is looking forward to the coming school year and wishes the upcoming first graders a wonderful time in kindergarten.
