At 11 o'clock the curtain opened, it got dark and the story of Siri and the Ice Sea Pirates began. The story is about Siri, who wants to rescue her sister from the captivity of the pirate captain Weißhaut. The journey through the Arctic Ocean brings her together with many helpers. But she also makes enemies on her way to rescue her sister. The story deals with the themes of friendship, love between siblings and overcoming fears. For this adaptation of the children's book of the same name, the pupils of the Buterland School visited the theater in Münster.
The students enjoyed the play very much. They particularly remembered that all the characters were played by just 7 people.
The theater hall also amazed the children because it has room for so many people. The children particularly liked the lamps on the ceiling. They thought they were umbrellas with lamps on the handle.
