Honors

A big round of applause for great achievements

During the first long break, the awards ceremony for the 37th Gronau Elementary Schools Swimming Competition and Sports Festival was held in front of the assembled students and teachers.

The fourth-grade class was particularly successful: both the girls and the boys took second place in the school swimming competition. Mr. Krage presented the trophies to both groups amid loud applause.

Afterward, the top athletes from each grade were honored for their achievements at the sports festival. At the same time, it was emphasized that all the children had given their best on the day of the sports festival and that every performance deserved recognition.

The following were honored:

  • First Grade: Ida (1c), Noah (1a), and Ilyas (1b). Noah and Ilyas scored the same number of points.
  • Second Grade: Elif (2c) and Jesaja (2b)
  • 3rd Grade: Evi (3a) and Mats (3c)
  • 4th Grade: Leni B. (4a) and Felix (4b)

In closing, heartfelt thanks went to the custodian, Mr. Kortbus, and the administrative assistant, Ms. Sünker. Through their active support, both played a key role in making the sports festival a success. While Mr. Kortbus helped set up and take down the stations, Ms. Sünker ensured that the results were reliably recorded and the points correctly tallied by creating the Excel files.
