Sponsor morning

At this year’s mentor morning, the future first-graders had the opportunity to get to know their new school and their mentors. They were accompanied by the third-graders, who will be the “big kids” at the school next year as fourth-graders.

A special highlight was the scavenger hunt around the school grounds. Together, the children explored all the important areas of the school, which helped them become familiar with their new surroundings. Afterward, the future first-graders made a sign to wear around their necks, decorated with their new class animal. In the coming school year, the new classes will start as the Zebra, Platypus, and Turtle classes. Drinks and cookies were provided during the craft activity to keep everyone energized.

The morning with the mentors came to a cheerful close with a group dance involving all the school’s children and the future first-graders. Everyone danced and laughed together to the song “Dance with Aunt Rita.”

The mentors are already looking forward to welcoming the new students to the school in the coming school year and supporting them as they settle into school life. The excitement about the start of school and the new school year was clearly palpable among everyone involved.
