As every year, the Primary School Cup took place in June. Nine girls and nine boys from each year group were selected to represent their grade level in sporting terms and represent the school in a worthy manner. In numerous exciting and fair matches, the pupils showed great commitment, team spirit and sporting ability. The Buterland School teams achieved strong results in several age groups and successfully held their own against the competition.

The tournament was particularly successful for the 1st grade girls. With 12 points, a goal difference of +6 and a total of 7 goals scored, the team achieved an excellent 2nd place. The 3rd grade girls also impressed with a strong performance and also secured 2nd place with 12 points, 7 goals and a goal difference of +5.

The 3rd grade boys also put on a strong tournament, but unfortunately only finished in 4th place with a strong 11 points, 15 goals and a goal difference of +8. The reason for this was the tight field in which the elementary school found themselves. One point made the difference to third place. The 2nd grade boys finished in 3rd place with 8 points and a positive goal difference of +1.

The teams from Buterland School also fought for every ball in the other year groups, demonstrating fairness and great commitment. The girls in Year 2 finished in 4th place with 7 points, the boys in Year 1 also achieved 2nd place, while the teams in Year 4 were able to gain valuable match experience despite strong competition.

Congratulations to all the winners of the games. Further congratulations go to the participating children from Buterland School, who showed great commitment, fairness and sporting ambition and represented the school excellently. Many thanks also to the parents who accompanied the day.
